After The Show – Exhibit Removal and Shipping
At 4:00pm on Thursday Oct. 23, the show will close, and the Exhibits can be removed. The WITS volunteers will bring your boxes, crates and containers to your booth that have been in storage if you have them marked correctly (having a label on the containers with the Exhibitor booth number). It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to make arrangements for the pickup of all crates and exhibit containers. WITS is not a freight forwarder.

For Crates and Boxes Being Picked Up By the Exhibitor’s Own Truck
West Dock and the South Door will be open:
- Thursday Oct. 23 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Just get your stuff and Go –
- Friday Oct. 24 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Saturday Oct. 25 8:00 am – 12:00 noon
- Dock closes at 12:00 noon Sat Oct. 25
- We prefer to have everything picked up by 5:00 pm on Friday.
For Crates and Boxes Being Picked by: Freight Companies, UPS, FedEx, contract carriers, etc.
The Exhibitor needs to communicate to WITS volunteers what boxes are going to be picked up by the various freight companies so we can be sure to have them on the dock for pick up. Fill out the Exhibitor Freight Communication Form. Friday Oct. 24 is a good day for the commercial freight companies to pick up at the West Dock. A copy of the bill of Lading or other documents for shipping of the freight has to put in a plastic sleeve and taped to the shipment. The Freight companies will not pick your shipment unless the documents are done and attached to the shipment. There is a table at the West Dock which has a copier and other supplies as needed.
WITS is not a freight forwarder we just want to be sure your boxes and crates get on the correct truck.
Exhibitor Freight Communication Form
If you need a copy of the Exhibitor Freight Communication form come upstairs to the WITS office. Fill out the form describing the boxes and crates being picked up by freight companies such as UPS, FedEx, and other contract carriers. Remember most freight companies will not pick up on Saturday. If you want the WITS volunteer to take your crates to the dock for pick up, you must be sure we know what your plans are. Fill out the form and bring it up to the WITS Show office or if it after 4:00pm Thursday then bring it to the West Dock and a collection box will be on a table.
Dock hours:
- Thursday Oct. 23rd 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
- Friday Oct. 24th 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (have freight companies pick on Friday)
- Saturday Oct. 25th 8:00 am – 12:00 noon
- Dock closes at 12:00 noon Sat Oct. 25th
- We prefer that everything is picked up on Friday Oct. 24th.
Leave the boxes and crates in the Exhibitor’s booth unless instructed otherwise. Attach the shipping documents to the crates and boxes. When the freight company or parcel company comes, the WITS Volunteers will bring your freight to the dock for ship out. As a courtesy, the volunteer forklift drivers will load the crates and exhibit containers (under 3,000 lbs), at no charge.
IMPORTANT – We recommend that you take a picture of all boxes and crates which are labeled and ready for shipment. In case they get lost everyone will know what they are looking for.
Remember – most freight companies will not pick up on Saturday, so they have to pick up on Friday.

If you need pickup after Saturday, Oct. 25th at 12:00 noon, contact the Henry Helgerson Co. at (316) 943-1851. There will be a charge for this storage and shipping service. Any freight not picked up by 12:00 noon on Saturday Oct. 25 will be sent to the Henry Helgerson Co., who will store it, and the exhibitor will pay the charge for this service $$.
